Luis Bordes is a Development Associate for Cypressbrook Company. His primary duties include due diligence and financial analysis for new multi-family projects, exploring and analyzing new and current markets for potential projects, and budget control. Prior to joining Cypressbrook Company he worked with WoodsEdge church in Madrid, Spain teaming with a local non-profit organizing social programs and projects. Before moving abroad, he worked at Merrill Lynch for five years securing his series 7 and 66 licenses. Luis was in charge of portfolio management and option analysis for client portfolios. His team duties also included working on financial analysis, financial planning, creating tailor-made portfolios and financial plans for investors. Mr. Bordes worked at Tyson foods in the accounting department prior to joining Merrill Lynch, coordinating with plants throughout the US and Mexico on various issues. He received his Master of Business Administration from the University of Arkansas in 2007 after receiving his Bachelor’s in Finance from the University of Arkansas in 2005. During his time at the University of Arkansas, Mr. Bordes was a four-time letterman on the Cross Country and Track team in which he was part of six National Championships and an Academic All-American. His passions outside of work are spending time with his wife and two kids and being active in sports and nature. Mr. Bordes is fluent in Spanish and fully licensed to practice real estate as prescribed by the Texas Real Estate Commission.
