Cypressbrook’s roots run through decades of hands-on commercial real estate experience—from institutional development at Trammell Crow to entrepreneurial projects across land, industrial, office, and senior living. That foundation shaped a platform that today develops Ariza multifamily communities, manages assets through Cypressbrook Multifamily Management (CMM), advises through brokerage, and partners with accredited investors on a deal-by-deal basis.
Michael E. Novelli rose from Marketing Representative to Project Partner to Managing Director at Trammell Crow Company, working across retail, industrial, office, and land in development, marketing, financing, construction, and property management.
After serving as a Principal with a Houston-based private equity firm—and on boards of several portfolio companies—Mr. Novelli founded The Esterbrook Company in The Woodlands, directing land, industrial, office, and senior living projects tied to Cypress Realty, Inc.
Cypressbrook principals began participating as general or co-general partners in projects that form the basis of today’s track record—emphasizing alignment, underwriting discipline, and long-term asset stewardship.
Development, brokerage, Cypressbrook Multifamily Management, and investor partnerships operate under one roof. CMM serves communities in Texas, Florida, Alabama, and Tennessee—applying the same speed, skill, and stewardship that define the Cypressbrook brand.
Michael E. Novelli serves as Managing Director of Cypressbrook Company, where he coordinates the company’s development teams, capital transactions, marketing efforts, and equity financing activities. His career spans institutional development at Trammell Crow, private equity board service, and entrepreneurial leadership as President of The Esterbrook Company in The Woodlands.
Mr. Novelli earned a B.A. in Economics from Rice University (1979), a Master of Accounting from the Jesse H. Jones Graduate School of Administration at Rice (1980), and an M.A. in Economics from Cambridge University (1982).
